Hi guys,
I installed inkscape using the ubuntu software center. However i observe that the menu bar is missing. Does anyone know how to bring it back.

Hhhmm, I'm not sure how that could happen. Many parts of the Inkscape window can be hidden, but not the menu bar.

It looks like it could be a bug. I found this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/738956

According to that report, and assuming this bug is causing the problem you're having, you should be able to open Inkscape, and then open another new file (using 1st button on left of command bar) and see the menu there.

Since that bug's status is Incomplete, you might be able to help complete the report, if you understand much about Inkscape, or the info contained in the bug report. You'd have to register at Launchpad, if you're not already. And only if you want to
