Hello, I'm new to the inkscape forums but I've been using inkscape for quite some time. I've to search for an answer to this question already, both here in the forums and in the inkscape documentation so hopefully I don't get flamed for asking

Question:
In short I would very much like a shortcut key for joining nodes with a segment and for deleting a segment between selected nodes. If it already exists and I simply didn't see it, great, if not I don't mind getting my hands dirty and trying to edit the /keys/defaults.xml file. There are buttons for this action but according to the inkscape documentation there only appears to be shortcuts for join nodes (without segment) and to break nodes (without deleting the segment in between).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I use inkscape quite often as I digitize my knotwork sketches, it is a somewhat time consuming process so shortcut keys would save me a lot of time. Have you seen Help menu > Keys and Mouse Ref? There I did find a shortcut for "Join selected endnodes with a segment" Alt + J
I don't see one for "Delete segment between 2 nodes" but it's possible that you can assign a shortcut for it. The instructions can be found in default.xml in Inkscape directory.

Btw, I love those celtic knots. Did you use the LPE Knot to make those?
