Realistic hole in a paper sheet?

Postby fmmarzoa » Wed Apr 25, 2012 8:28 pm

Hi,

Has someone any tutorial on making realistic holes in a paper with inkscape? I mean those holes with the paper ripped... I tried searching in google, but I think I did not find the exact terms. My English is far for being the best...

I mean something like these on the right:

Thanks a lot in advance,

See the attached SVG. I used the fractalize path extension to get the torn paper.

The rest is just filters and blurs.

Several years ago, while experimenting with different Inkscape tools, I found a way to make a paper look burned. You might be able to use the same technique on part of the "hole". I posted in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1175
