Hi, I am creating web layout and I want to import jpg bitmap. But I found this: If I just import jpg and then export it, its quality goes down. It is poor quality right after import. Image is snapped to grid. Do you have any working workflow for this task?

It's my understanding that every time you change the file format of an image, you lose a little quality. So the higher quality JPG that you start with, the better it will look after exporting to PNG. I don't know if there might be a way to use a raster graphics program to increase the resolution of the image before you import to Inkscape? It may be that the image needs to be originally created with a high resolution.....I'm just not very well-versed about these things.

I do know that there are other ways to put images on webpages though -- like using.html
