How can I get some uniformity with Zig Zag line

Postby Kento » Mon Apr 16, 2012 5:12 am

Hi, this looks so simple but presently is beyond me. I have tried using guides & getting it to snap but I unable to acheive uniformity with the triangles which forms this zig zag line. Please tell me what it is I am over looking or doing wrong.

Perhaps grid would be a good solution. That way you could add point by point, while snapping enabled.

Draw straight line with only two nodes.

With the node tool select the line segment and do add nodes several times. Each node will be placed to generate internode segments of equal length.

With the node tool shift-select every other node. Using the arrow keys or ctrl-select and drag move the nodes to desired spot. All zigs and zags will be equal in length and angle.
