CTRL+C issue - cannot use Inkscape

Postby iongion » Fri Apr 05, 2019 11:02 pm

Hello,

I am using 0.92.4 and I encounter trouble when trying to perform a copy using keyboard shortcut CTRL + C
What happens is that I see another inkscape window opening with the copied shape, then it closes fast, then I get this dialog:

"Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected."

"No paths where found. Please convert all objects you want to save into paths."

This happens every time I try to copy-paste something.
Apparently it is triggered by python-uniconverter extensions, how can I disable this extension, why is it doing it on copy-paste.

I am on Ubuntu 18.04, tried inkscape from:

- official repo
- inkscape repos for ubuntu 18.04
- snap install

All seem to have the same issue and I am out of options, remove all user preferences, reinstalled, purged, everything!
Any suggestions / help would be highly appreciated, it just is unusable now.

This is an issue that is supposedly related to your clipboard manager. I suppose you're using something special?

It had been fixed, but seems to have reappeard recently. I couldn't find it in the bug reports (https://gitlab.com/groups/inkscape/-/issues), maybe you can? If you can't, either, please open one in the 'inbox' project.
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
