Does anyone know of a free Windows application for creating mouse cursors? It needs to support animated mouse cursors.
I'm drawing the cursors in Inkscape and am hoping to be able to import each frame as a PNG.
Free application for creating mouse cursors?

Let me know if you find any good one.

Googling found this:
AniTuner
Downloaded it and played around a little bit. It looks pretty complete, and it's free. It can use individual PNGs to make a cursor, including alpha channel.

Yes, AniTuner is also what I found and whilst it's a little clumsy it does the job. I also downloaded RealWorld Cursor Editor. It can also handle animated cursors, but I only used it for static cursors. It's been a while since I played with this these apps but I don't think AniTuner could create static cursors, and there was something about RealWorld that I didn't like for creating animated cursors. So I switched between the two for animated and static cursors.

You could make a static cursor in AniTuner by having a cursor with only one frame.

Yeah, but it's still of type .ani instead of .cur - or does the option to save as .cur appear when it only has one frame? I agree that it's no different to the end user, but I'm particular about those sorts of things
