Dear all,
I composed a A4 poster with several photo images, but it cannot be printed with correct color directly inside Inkscape, unless I export it first to *.png
-> what's wrong?
Someone tell me that normal photo image taken by Digital Camera, use RGB color and not CMYK, if it is the case, how can I convert the photos from RGB to CMYK color?
Thanks for any kind of help!
Rgds,
Cannot print photo color correctly, pls. help!
Re: Cannot print photo color correctly, pls. help!
Well most digital images from cameras us sRGB colour profiles only profesional print machines use CMYK and even these are usualy produced from your artwork you create.
I wouldnt think it was an issue with RGB or CMYK it sounds more like a colour profile or colour space, and im not sure which one inkscape uses.
Do you have a custom profile you use for your monitor? maybe you have had it calibrated you can also check in windows colour managment to see which one it is using and then you may be able to check to see which inkscape uses.

Thanks FIRECLOWN for your comments!
but...
I don't know how to check the color profile.
By the way, can you print photo with correct color using Inkscape directly?

In inkscape options there is a colour managment tab which you can link a colour profile to im assuming this will be like photoshops where you can select to work in sRGB colour work space.
I havent had any issue with printing colour, if you can try printing on other printers to see how the colour comes out on them if it seems to be limited to your printer try the manufactures website to see if they have a colour profile for your printer.
