Hello!
I am trying to make a logo for my lab. I found a helpful tutorial on this forum to make crescents that suggested over laying two circles (one white). I realized this was a problem when I exported it and the white circles looked very odd since the rest of the background is transparent. (exported file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wgayrpnielq28 ... 1.1_wt.png)
My question is: how can I make those white circles and whats under them transparent so that only the colored crescents and the text is showing? (Working svg: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1kmac6u3zgw3c ... wt_web.svg) I want to overlay the logo over a colored image.
I would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

Welcome aboard!
You can substract the white circles from the coloured ones.
If all objects are ungrouped, select a coloured circle and a white on top of it, then press Ctrl+"-" on the numpad.
My suggestion would be to choose a less overused design idea.
Even if branding has a strong connection with saturn and it's ring.
