Hi.
I've been using xfig for years, and I am trying to adapt to inkscape. Actually I have tried several times already, but I am always going back to xfig because I am missing one of its killing features (one that I simply cannot work without): I would like to be able to select some specific properties from one object (e.g., pen width and/or color and/or layer , etc.) and apply these properties (and only those) to another object (could be any object, not necessarily an object of the same type - of course, in that case, there will be a result only for the properties that are relevant for the second object's type).
Is this possible with inkscape? If yes, how should I do it? If no, is there a good reason for this not to be implemented (I surely can't be the only one who finds that extremely useful)?
Thanks!
Copy selected properties
Re: Copy selected properties
There is a feature called Paste style (under Edit menu), you copy the object, select another to which you want to transfer the "properties" and hit Paste style. You can't select which properties are changed, all of them are affected. Maybe you can report a request in the bug tracker but search first, I think something similar might have been requested https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/
