Align - want other objects to follow

Postby Grobe » Fri Mar 05, 2010 12:21 am

Hi

I have two horisontal lines that needs to be horisontal aligned. So far so god.

Problem is that there's other object onto the line that I want tomove along with the line. Is that possible to achieve?

If not, I have to manually move the objects after aligning the line in order to position correct to the line.

[edit]
I found I can use the "Align Bottom Edges" and choose Relative to - Firs selected. This solved the problem. But one question:
What's the difference between those two buttons:
alignBottomButtons.png
align bottom buttons. What is the difference between them?

On the left, Align bottom edges to top of anchor. This is pretty clear, I think. This might actually be the best choice for your problem here (the horizontal line being the anchor).

On the right, Align bottom edges. Not so clear, means align bottom edges to each other, regardless of other objects.
