Hi, I have created a closed n-gon, and want to fill it with some color. But want one segment to be invisible, or a different color. Can some one help me?

In light of your nick....
By adding nodes, mentioned segment one should create and Reverse the Path orientation than. The hole that would create but Break Apart (Ctrl+Shift+K) if used, as a separate shape one could have it. May the rays be with you!

Perhaps I did not articulate well. Please see the image. I want the "Fill" to be inplace,but color the segment line under selection to white or invisible, so that it appears open. If I delete the segment, the fill becomes flat and straight connecting two ends of the remaining curve.

Two shapes one should make, than. Duplicate, shall I say. With the fill only one shape should be lowered and without fill shape should be raised to top. On the Stroke one should commence cutting, so desired outcome would be reached.

Break path and Delete segment your friends are.
