Of course I couldn't understand the words, since I only read English. But I never would have thought of using a gradient for a fabric-like texture. But gradients are really pretty well suited for such. I think if one had a LOT of patience, one might be able to use tiled clones, and make it look woven (over/under). I was looking for a fabric-like effect from a filter a year or 2 ago. I might have to revisit that project (which never was finished, for lack of filter) having gradients in mind....
