Incredible! The Text and font dialog is impossible to open! No problem with the other dialogs, just Text and font. What can I do?

Please tell us your Inkscape version and operating system. Also tell us how you are trying to access the dialog.

The Text and Font dialog opens fine for me, from either the Text menu or command bar button. This is 0.48.1 on Win7, 64-bit.

OH! If you had minimized the window the last time you used it, it could be opening "minimized". I have minimized in quotes because Inkscape apparently has a slightly different idea about mimizing windows. Instead of on the taskbar, where most miminized windows reside, you'll probably find it near the taskbar, usually around the bottom left corner of the open Inkscape window. All you'll see is a tiny titlebar with buttons to open the dialog or close the file. Click the button on the left and the dialog should open up.

Thank you brynn, I could find it. The upper edge of the dialog was laying without space along whole the bottom edge of the main screen if it was melted in it. It was not so difficult as I beleived...
