How-to: New and not sure of the effect desired

Postby jkbff » Fri Jun 28, 2013 4:56 pm

Hello All!

This is my first post, and I really am a very new user to InkScape and GraphicDesign in general.
I am trying my hand at creating some imagery to be used on my website and as a watermark on documents and am not sure what to do or how to go about doing it...

The only thing I can think to call it is a gradient line ribbon or swoop... I have seen something similar before but when I try it it always ends up uneven, and the result I am looking for has equal spacing in the lines... I've linked images of examples of what I am trying to do...

I hope someone out there knows what I am trying to do...

The reason I am wanting to do this in Inkscape is so that it can be scale-able so I don't get distorted prints..

Welcome aboard!

You can draw such images with the interpolate extension.

Steps would be similar to those described in the attached svg.
I know it could be improved but these are good for a start.
