Hi all,
Just started using Inkscape for the first time but am having a problem with the attached pdf file.
I am running Mac Lion Version: 10.7.4 with the latest stable version of Inkscape. However when I import the attached pdf file into Inkscape one of the objects that creates the green colour is missing. I can view the image perfectly in Preview but it is all yellow when imported?
Does anyone know where I am going wrong? Is anyone else able to open the attached pdf without the above problem?
Thanks for any help, Sam.

Re: PDF object missing

Welcome Sam!
In Adobe Reader, I see the white to yellow to green radial gradient inside a thick white border of a light bulb. The leaf and stem inside the bulb is white. Is it supposed to be green? Oh ok, now I've opened it in Inkscape, and I see what you mean.
When you open a PDF in Inkscape, every object is apparently grouped. After ungrouping, I see that the object with the yellow/green gradient is still there, but it's being hidden by the white/yellow gradient, inside a clipped group. I don't understand exactly what has happened, but I'm fairly certain that it can be fixed. And I could probably hack out a fix. But it would probably be better to wait for someone who understands what happened and how.
Someone who understands this should be along soon

AFAICT the PDF file uses features not supported by Inkscape's PDF import (Blending modes):
