I'm sad to say that my part of the world seems to be burning down. I don't think it compares to the fires in Australia several years ago, certainly not in the sheer land areas burned. But we've lost 2 entire suburban neighborhoods (35,000 evacuated, rough estimate of 300 homes lost, fire uncontrolled) (also US Air Force Academy evacuated, and interstate highway closed) in one fire, and 87,000 forested acres (250 homes lost, fire 75% controlled) in another. And several other smaller fires. Please pray for my neighbors, victims and firefighters alike
