i just wonder if the windows version of inkscape is lame???

for example:

i make a square and make it blur, and if i move this around
the graphics are very slow and lame, like if i would use inkscape
ona P-III 300mhz machine!!!

is this normal?
or do i have to tweak some settings within inkscape???
or tweak any settings within win-XP???
or do i need to use inkscape with linux, to unlock it`s full power???

i use a:
2x2.8ghz dualcore, with 4GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 9500 with 1GB-ram ^^

please help!!!!

i mean, i`m really a talented artist, and i started several LARGE projects,
but can`t finish any of them because of this "graphics issue"
but I NEED TO FINISH my work in order to work any further on my running
art-projects
