i am here trying with all my might to use Inkscape .922 and 924 all two of them free up. I am trying to remove the background to an image and it freezes when it reaches the point where you should be able to remove the background image. it freeze right there. The question is WHY? What can I to stop this

I'm afraid you'll need to give us a lot more info. The easiest way would be the share the SVG file with us.

The hard way is for us to ask you a lot of questions, which may or may not lead to a solution.

How are you trying to remove the background? Exactly what steps are you taking? Which tools? Spell out every detail from step 1 to however long it goes.

What do you mean it freezes? What freezes?

If you mean the whole program freezes, that's typically because the image is too large for the resources (usually RAM) on your system. I have a tutorial explaining about things you can do to avoid that, but I'm not sure that's what you mean about something freezing. If that turns out to be the case, I'll give you a link to it.

Please tell us how large the image is (kb or mb, not dimensions). Also please tell us how much RAM you have.
