I'm looking for a free soft compatible with inkscape to drive a creation Pcut CR-630 (vinyl cutter).
For the moment I have Artcut 6.6 which does not work.
The objective is to create with Inkscape and then use the machine easily to cut vinyl layers.

I believe Blazer Sign Cut will work.
You can download and use Blazer for free as a trial. Everything is full working and no time period. You just cant update it.

The latest Artcut 2008 seem can work, good luck.

The Pcut 630 is a great vinyl cutter, stronger than its given granted for.

Been running a sign & Graphics business for a number of years and with the Pcut 630 for 5 years with Artcut 2.

For those who view Artcut as inferior, shouldn't. Most Chinese sign firms only use it. I use it to add touches to artwork emailed.

Some tips...

Before you export from Corel Draw your artwork must be converted to curves..including text..(breaking apart curves works as well...view it after in "wireframe)

Coreldraw =<12.. when you export your image..export as *.ai. In the saved folder add the extention *.eps

filename.ai.eps. Artcut will now import.

Coreldraw 13 & 14 export as *.eps.

In Artcut your serial port can only be 1 or 2 and this can be set in Windows/Device Manager.

Choose your canvas size as close as possible..this prevents extra time in the cutting..i.e 1000/1000mm or default A1

If you send the image from Artcut to Pcut 630, only to find that you have the death screen "Error..." after a brief start then windows is not providing resources to com.port... search on Google for this driver Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port Pl2303_prolific_driver_installer.exe.. this should solve your Windows resource issue.

My 2cents worth. Hope it helps. The Pcut 630 is a work horse and ours generally puts in 10 hours continuously each working day..since 2004. Some jobs are 100 meters plus vynil and others minature short runs ( slower speed for smaller text and artwork, enables easier "weeding").

anybody can help me. i buy a creation pcut 630 last year, and im trying to reinstall to my new pc but the driver cd wont work any more. please anyone can send me a copy of the driver of creation pcut 630. thank you very much in advance to any one who will help to provide new driver.
