Adobe Photoshop Path to Inkscape?

Postby LadyoftheCave » Mon Jan 26, 2009 12:06 am

Goodafternoon,

Is it possible to export an Adobe Photoshop path to Inkscape? I have tried to export a path in Adobe Photoshop, but then it automatically is going to be an adobe illustrator path, and Inkscape cannot open that file,

Thank you for your help..

What does the error say?

You could also save the Photoshop image as a PDF and open the PDF in Inkscape.

I see a little window with a traffic-stop sign with the message, the file can not be opened.

Yest, jpg or pdf is possible to open in inkscape, but then it is a non-vector object. I need the path of photoshop to make a vector-drawing with it..

I hope you could help.. :|

Photoshop doesn't save paths as vector when saving as PDF? I assumed it would.

I just downloaded the free trial of Adobe Acrobat 9, but I only get a free 30 days. Can I still use Adobe reader(which I already have) to view these files after I put a password on them, or will I have to buy the Acrobat 9 to see them?

Adobe Reader can be used to view any PDF files. If you set a password to prevent viewing of the document, Reader will prompt for the password.
