Mask Clipping Animating

Postby Sjeff » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:47 pm

Hi,

Im kinda new to Mask Clipping, but i can't find a single tutorial about using it for an animation.
I need to make a circle where there is constanly blowing wind trough it but it should only be visible in the circle.
I can't figure out how i do this nor can find a tutorial on animating it.

Can someone help me or knows a good tutorial for it?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

Inkscape doesn't have animation capabilities yet. But Inkscape drawn images can be used with SMIL, or javascript can be used to do the animation. Or they can be converted to GIFs and use any number of programs to animate (GIMP is good for this). I can't remember where I got this, but I found it in my Favs list: http://srufaculty.sru.edu/david.dailey/ ... htm#JSAnim. And I found this in the inksape wiki: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/SVG_Animation. I don't think either of those is a step by step tutorial, but they might lead you to a solution. I thought I had more info on SMIL, but I can't seem to find it.

No much, I know, but I hope it helps :D
