Hi !

I want to print some t-shirts , unfortunatelly none of the t-shirt companies support svg, only AI or eps .

So as inkscape cannot export to AI ( and i understand as it is not AI ) i tried eps , but sometimes it gave me some problems with colors and gradients.

So what can i do ?

Adobe Illustrator imports PDF and SVG just fine. These two formats are recommended.

yes, you should be able to use .svg files, but make sure you use plain svg, not inkscape svg (which is slightly confusing).

how can I save my file as plain svg? aren't their extension the same?

it's an option in the save dialog. I think the extensions are the same, and can't claim to fully understand the differences, but they are real.

The differences is that plain-SVG doesn't contain Inkscape specific information. The Inkscape information describes how Inkscape can edit some objects, such as . Without that information Inkscape won't be able to edit the shape as it once could. The Inkscape information has no impact on how the SVG will look in any other viewer, only how it can be edited. Saving as plain SVG will reduce the filesize and is simply a precaution when distributing the file for non-Inkscape use.
