Hello All,
I know that I can use the ctrl-F find dialogue to select all shapes that have a given fill color.
For instance, to select all shapes with a Red fill I would type ctrl-F and in the Style box type fill:#0000ff
However, I have some shapes with custom pattern. I would like to select all shapes to which I have applied that fill. F
or instance something like putting in the Style box: "fill:pattern7031"
Is there a way I can select such objects?
Also, I've been looking around for a comprehensive set of instructions for how I can use the find dialogue. Does anybody know where I might find a list of the capabilities of inkscape's find command?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Find Dialogue and Pattern Fill
Re: Find Dialogue and Pattern Fill

Welcome to InkscapeForum!
I often consult Edit menu > XML Editor, to obtain the proper code to search for, in Find dialog.
The only documentation I know of for Find, is in the manual. And it's fairly minimal. But someone else may know
