GIS tools for Inkscape

Hi all,

I am happy to have Inkscape an opensource software for illustrator.
I am new to Inkscape and would like to know if there are any GIS tools like Mapublisher(for Adobe Illustrator) to Inkscape.
Please let me know if there are any similar GIS tools.

Are you quite sure you don't want using QGIS? :)
