Is there an on-canvas/GUI method of duplicating a guide? Also: is there any way to select more than one guide?

One the of GSoC projects this summer (accepted projects, midterm update) is about enhancing the Guides UI - I haven't read details of the project goals, but chances are very high that Inkscape's guide management will improve as a result of this (samebchase is busy with coding, daily, AFAICT
