We create marketing material for residential property and use inkscape to create floor plans. We need someone to do this work for us.
Where is the best place to find an inkscape expert to take on this work?
Apologies if this is not the appropriate site.
Where can I find inkscape experts for hire
Re: Where can I find inkscape experts for hire
Welcome to the forum!
We have several members who use Inkscape professionally. So maybe one or more of them will reply. Otherwise, I guess you could search the internet, to try to find some of those businesses.

You should probably post more details of the employment, location, payment methods, etc. For example, I would do this kind of work in my area (San Francisco) but not usually over the 'net (payment probs).
Your mind is what you think it is.

Hello Wastlinger,
Not really what this forum is for, but maybe something to consider as an option for the forum to attract more visitors and scope.
You can contact me on pjmulder %at% xs4all %dot% nl for details, I usually work remote.

I agree, it would be nice to have a thread to help put the people together, there really isn't any one place around to meet that need.
I also use Inkscape professionally, my work is along the lines of clipart style, and selling on stock sites (I do have a licensed business); I'm not sure what you would need in regard to floor plans, but you may contact me via private e-mail here to discuss.

Except for google, and other internet search engines....also local telephone directories

I don't know if microUgly would be interested in creating another subforum. In my experience, he seems resistant. I suspect he'll say to just use the Off Topic forum. But anyone could post a suggestion in Feedback and Suggestions subforum.
From my own perspective, it would be a difficult subforum to moderate, because we would constantly be getting spam posted to it (the spammers thinking we might not bother to confirm exactly what a business does). Such a subforum would certainly need some very strict guidelines

Brynn,
I think you'all have to deal with enough spam already! It's such ashame that there are so many trolls out there. I am also thinking we could create a FB group to meet this purpose. What do you think about that? (Anyone can jump in here with their thoughts on a FB Inkscape page). Then we could just refer folks to it.... or maybe a Yahoo group? I can understand why MicroU wouldn't want to get involved, he's got enough to deal with.

There probably already is an Inkscape FB account. But you could make one specially for business advertising.
