Hi , i have got a few images i want to put together to make it look like a tattoo sleeve , i have the image of an arm both the from and back view and what i want to do is make it look like the images are wraping round the arm like it would beif it was a real tatto . im not sure of the best way to go about doing this so anyhelp would be great

If you want to adjust position, you may have better luck doing it in 3D.


With inkscape your choices are far less.
You can try the envelope lpe or if you are on linux you may try the lattice deform in a development build.

If the image is of an arm with a sleeve tattoo, then you already know what it looks like for the tattoo to wrap around the arm. So I'm not clear what the problem is.

Can you show us the images, and explain what it is you want to change?

I think what OP wants to achieve is the warping of the original image to the curvature of the arm.
In my opinion thats not really a job for Inkscape.

You can do this with a displacement map in Gimp.
There are tutorials for this kind of effect on youtube.

Could be I misunderstood the question.
