Need a good guide for how a digital camera..

Postby ShawnWDion » Fri Feb 10, 2017 12:53 pm

Need a good guide for how a digital camera actually creates the pixels of a photograph from the ccd or cmos entry.

Reason I'm asking is I'm curious on how on a 3x3 grid lets say how does the middle pixel get it's value as I cannot foresee this being random nor pulled out of a hat.

Heck I'd love to see a open source software for custom digital cameras.

Sorry V1nce for the late reply apertus is a key to what I was looking for the other was Bayer filter I was trying to figure out how a camera collected the data to make a actual image.

The main reason why I'm asking is that unfortunately for me, my eye sight is getting worst one of my eyes is at 10% efficiency and the other some days I would need variable glasses so I was curious if there was a way to mimic the defect of a human eye with a digital result.. I'm terrified to go blind and well if there is something I can do about it before getting there well i'll sure damn try to figure it out.

Nothing motivates more than one's goal of survival.

P.S: I really hate the patent system some of the blockages that this causes for mankind improvement is a detriment to us all.

Thanks for taking the time.
