How to save PNG to desktop Not working

Hi All,

I am fairly new to Inkscape and I have done this before with no problem. I open up a vector image and I do trace bitmap, move my trace image to the right, then right click on original image cut, save as svg, then I export as png to my desktop, excepts it never show up????? Can someone please explain in detail what I might be doing wrong, as I said I am trying to learn and I learn by doing it myself. I greatly appreciate any help you can send my way. Again Thank You

Type the location and filename including ".png" using no quotes in the Export-as box?

tyler,

I khnow how to save the svg, it is when I try to export the png to my desk is not working? I have hunted for this and cannot not find it anywhere, also I was hoping for some step by step help. Thank you for your help

If one looks closely at the attached picture, it will be evident that png files are exported to a location specified by the user.

Hi Tyler

I am attaching my print screen showing where it is exporting to, which I choose desktop? But it never shows up there? Can someone please help me work thru this?

The custom setting is set to zero, I'd try the page or drawing buttons.
