Transparent background in imported image
Hello,

. I would like to import a jpg of a cloud of smoke on a white background and turn the background transparent. Clearly, the second step is my problem. Unlike something solid, it is not feasible to manually create a clipping region for smoke, so I was just hoping to be able to find a way to mask it. Unfortunately, I can't figure out the correct steps that need to be taken. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Re: Transparent background in imported image
Duplicate it, apply a filter that inverts the colors, then use the inverted duplicate as a mask.
