Now that my turbo starts to look nice, I like to use the object in a video with the fan inside the turbo rotating.
Often programs allow some kind of automation. To have some kind of value to be dynamic. In this case that should be the 'starting' value (path effects -> rotate copies -> starting). Having this value as a variable allows to generate frames for a spinning turbo video.

Change of plan...slightly. I forgot in the final design I had to convert the fan object to a path in order to use I think path -> difference to smooth the fan blade endings. So as it is a path now...general rotation can be used. Maybe that helps.

How to do this?

The manual way would be to, within a range of 0-60, change the degrees of rotation. Because I don't know yet what the fps of the logo video will be, I also don't know what the resolution of the rotation will be. (E.g. steps of 1 degree, which will results in a doable 60 exports, or 0.1 degree, which results in a painful 600 exports.

The method depends if you are using SVG as your final image format for web. No need for frames in that case... SVG can be animated without frames.

I will probably use it most within Final Cut Pro, so I was thinking to export to PNG and put all frames after each other to get the animation.

Hmmm... I haven't used FCP, but I would imagine it has object rotations... maybe I'd export the fan as a separate image and do the rotation in FCP.

That's an idea too.

I finished manual export of 60 frames pretty quickly. Looks nice but way to slow. Then it becomes so high that it will skip frames thus in the end it is just playing for example frame 1 and 30. Back to the drawing board I guess...need some kind of blur effect.

Of course, FCP can deal with the rotation/s and other transformations.
Even more, rgb pdf is also welcomed. I`m not quite sure if FCP would find the difference among the Adobe and IS pdf`s but it`s worth trying - you`ll get the vectors in your video which may only enhance the output.

Go for the single object - either transparent png or (if working) with pdf and use the Transformation panel in FCP. Blurs and other similar effects are also at the reach of your hand so... YT and Google are your BFF at the moment ,)
