I have a block of text (grouped as a logo) that I can't seem to make completely opaque... when I drag the text across other objects the color changes in characters. I have gone in and made sure that the fill is complete in the characters (logo). I can see how this is a cool effect (when it is wanted)...
I can create another text element with the same fill attributes and it is completely opaque... But I can't get the logo to go opaque...
any ideas?
I do love Inkscape! it's a great program and a big "THANK YOU" for those who are writing it.
Thanks,
Wayne
Fill not opaque in text characters
Re: Fill not opaque in text characters
Did you use the Opaque slider or the A box in the Fill and Stroke dialogue? They both affect the object opacity, one for the whole object and the A box for the fill and stroke exclusively.

Re: Fill not opaque in text characters
Yes... both the A value and the opaque slider are at maximum for both characters... but the more recent "test" character is completely opaque while the character that is part of my logo remains faintly transparent... weird
Thanks

Don't forget to check the opacity setting of the parent group of the text objects, it affects all objects inside the group (on top of their own fill&stroke attributes).
In case the logo is on a separate layer, do check the opacity slider of that layer in the 'Layers…' dialog: layer opacity also affects all objects on that layer (layers are just 'special' groups, but do have a separate GUI to set opacity).
