Inkscape is working fine for me and I am getting pretty good at it. I am new to Inkscape but I ran into a problem. I can't save anything. I do my design and when I File>Save or File>Save As or File>Save A copy or click the 'floppy disk' button on the right-hand side toolbar, NOTHING HAPPENS! Absolutely Nothing happens. I am simply not getting the 'Save' Dialogue box. So when I close the program, Inkscape warns me that my file ain't saved and if I want to save. And nothing happens when I press 'Save'. So someone please help me here. Thanks.

This is a bug with version 0.48.2 which will be fixed with 0.48.3 (due out this year). It only happens if the image was previously save to a root directory, such as C/ or D/. Especially if the image was previously saved to a flash drive. To my knowledge, moving the image into a folder on that drive should fix it. But I haven't tried it.
