Blending Text in with picture

Postby jazzbass12 » Tue Dec 14, 2010 6:48 am

Hi,
I am very new with InkScape. I am designing a CD cover. I was able to to get a couple cool layers put together. The issue I have is that the Text I am using looks like it is pasted over the pictures. It doesn't blend well. Is there a trick that somebody could share with me on how to best do this?

Thanks So Much,
Rich O

Welcome Rich!

Wow, that is VERY impressive for your first work! Is it all Inkscape, or is there an embedded raster image or 2 in there?
My first thought would be to try just a slight blur on the text. But now I'm thinking if you change the color of the text, and pick up either a deep blue or deep green from the image, it might kind of ground the text more. But I'm not an artist. You'd best wait for some more professional input Image I just wanted to say welcome :D
