3d box with rounded corners?

Postby brynn » Sat Jul 03, 2010 9:03 am

Hi Friends,
I've been playing around with 3d boxes lately, and wonder if it's possible to make the corners slightly rounded? I've read the manual, but don't see anything about rounded corners, so I'm guessing it can't be done. But not sure enough to put this topic in the Ideas forum

Assuming it can't be done, and this topic gets moved to the Ideas forum, does it sound like something that would be worth suggesting as a new feature/wish list?

Thanks for any comments :D

I guess you can create a 3D box and then create each side separately as a curved corner rectangle that you scale and shear.

Also check out the Render 3D Polyhedron extension (Truncated cube).
