I used Inkscape in a previous version. After changing my CPU, I installed version 0.48. When I request multiple copies when printing, I get a correct page and the rest blank pages. Perhaps the parameters to be set?

I use Inkscape to produce notebooks adapted for children with low vision and I do not intend to print one sheet at a time

Unfortunately, that appears to be a bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/490866
It appears that all the reports are on Windows 7, with Inkscape versions 0.47 and above. You can see that it's ranked Medium in importance, which I guess it depends on your glass of water -- half full or half empty, as to how one views that ranking. In my experience with reporting bugs, that's a good thing.

Perhaps ~suv will comment with further details about it. But for now, I can only suggest either finding a way to copy the single print, or go back and use 0.46 to print, until the bug is fixed.
