Hi Friends,
If forum activity is any indication, Inkscape has become significantly more popular over the last few months. I'm not sure to what this might be attributable. Has anyone else noticed this, or does any one have any ideas why? I guess the bottom line is that Inkscape is destined for greatness!

I wanted to take a moment to say thanks to the developers Image I just have so much fun with Inkscape!

Congratulations to the whole Inkscape community! Image

It seems like there have been a few "hot" applications that people have been asking about and commenting on lately: laser cutting and html5 applications. It has been a great tool to work with, so I'd also like to share in this thanks to the devs for all of their ongoing hard work.

Another venue I see this growing in - is that I've noticed some photographers on stock sites are starting to learn digital drawing (either to enhance their photography, make a background, or to add on a new skill). I know I've shared it on other forums and stock sites, and others digital artists have as well. It takes many months to really learn Inkscape, {okay it's taking me yrs and I'm still not advanced as I want to be : ) }, but maybe people are at the point of being good enough to share. It's contagious after all! It's especially good now that we're into the later versions, and a lot of the bugs have been worked out. The developers and volunteers have done a fabulous job and put in so much of their time, maybe it's finally starting to pay off for them.
