Hi, Im completely new to inkscape (I was using adobe illustrator before and I'm quite experienced with it).
I want to edit that font




The goal is - to select the red shape inside of the letter and delete it.
In illustrator - I could achieve it by multiple left clicking the shape (red shape in this case) and than just hit delete.
How can I achieve the same goal using inkscape? ( I want to edit every letter that way)

Using the nodetool (as you are), select one node of the shape you want to delete, press ctrl A and then press delete

Is that a new rule for this forum? Which forums are covered? In the past, and I am not suggesting that this should be the case in the future, people using software like GIMP or Blender etc. would ask their questions or post images etc in multiple forums without censure.
I understand that even asking this question is possibly going to be interpreted as provocative and challenging but it's not intended to be. I would appreciate a response from other moderators of this forum, perhaps Xav or Lazur if this is going to be a rule?

My personal view is that it's okay to ask in more than one forum - after all, a new Inkscape user doesn't know what the overlap is between users of different fora, so might assume they're asking the question to different groups of people. Out of politeness they should perhaps link to the other posts, so that people can see if the question's been answered elsewhere, but that becomes a logistical problem (you'd have to go back and edit earlier posts to add links to later ones).

But that's just my personal view, not any kind of policy decision.
