Where to post extensions
Where to post extensions
I've made two extensions that could be useful for somebody else. Where should I post them?

post or host?
Anyway - once they are available for download, please consider adding links to the list in "Inkscape Wiki: Extension repository".
When the re-designed inkscape.org website is up and running, hopefully it will include some kind of infrastructure to help users find, install and manage extensions. At the moment the extension repository is just a (rather short) list, but steadily growing... Thank you for contributing to Inkscape!
If your question was about hosting, not posting: you could host them as Google Code project, like several other extensions - e.g. GuidesCreator or the recently added enhanced svg2pdf export extension.
Re: Where to post extensions
I've seen that repository and thought it is really out of date and not being used by anybody. But it appears I was wrong
.
PS I have the place to host them. Just been looking a place to post info about it. By the way, is there any specific topic in this forum for the extensions?

Re: Where to post extensions
…there's also the inkscape-user mailing list, certainly another good place to announce and discuss new extensions.
Others may know the forum structure better than me, but what about News, Events & Developments or Inkscape Resources?Nick wrote:By the way, is there any specific topic in this forum for the extensions?
