“NINE TWO EIGHT Click Exhibition” collect works in public
>>Participant Qualifications
1. There is no restriction to applicants’ nationality, age, gender or occupation, either in person or in group is welcomed.
2. There is no exhibiting works quantity limit for participant(s), each exhibiting works is regarded as a unit.
3. All exhibiting works of personal or group participants’ must be original creation
4. Either individual applicant or allied authors applicants can enter for the exhibition.
>>Works Requirements
There is no restriction to work formats: drawing, sculpture, installation, project, photography, article, audio, video, performance etc.
>>Submission Requirements
1. Any format that can be transmitted by internet

>>Time Arrangement:
1. Apply and submit works date: From March28,2008 ~ July 31, 2008(Date is subject to the local mail stamp chop in terms of airmail)
2. Shortlist announcement date: September 1, 2008
3. Opening Date: September 28, 2008

1. Award crowned by organizer committee (is judged by the host organization)
2. Observer Prize (based on the votes of organization and observers)
3. Award crowned by Netizen (based on votes from internet)
>> Application Process
1、Send artworks and entry forms to organizing committee no later than 28th, March, 2008 (postmarked no later than 31th July, 2008). If the deadline is missed by applicant, it is regarded as self-abjuration without further notice.
2、Entry forms can be submitted through one of the following. Applicant will receive an email confirmation within 3 days after submission.
a、Email: send both artworks and entry form to 928click@gmail.com, if the file size of the artwork is no more than 10 MB.
b、Post: send both artworks and entry form in digital form to Mr. He Dan / Room 2015,No.7Section, No. 699 of Jin Qiu Road, Bao Shan District, Shanghai, 200436, China .
The event does not charge any registration and participation fees.

928 Art Manifesto
During the globalization, the ecocrisis has been the major concerns in our times, which is caused by the consumerism culture born in the industrial world outlook
The economy is developing abnormally in the modern society, which largely takes the free-economy as the social core, the consumerism culture as spiritual guidance, and the sensual pleasure as the life pursuit. With the nature changed and destroyed severely, our internal society, including the social structure, the managing system and the principle of distribution, is transformed more systematically and mechanically. We are almost simplified as producers and consumers. With the power of modern media, the commercial society is greatly controlling and shaping our shopping mode, mentality and daily life. Gradually, we take and accept the values from the commercial culture. Mass production will definitely lead to mass resource elimination. Under such high pressure of consumerism, we, the imaginative and independent thinker, slowly turn to be impersonal, indifferent and empty. Though it seems the more we get, the more free we are, which drives greedy minds on aboard destined for the end of the world. And this will be the most dangerous moment the earth and human being will go through.
We need to change completely the way we used to treat the nature; what’s more, we should remake the original views on nature and development, getting out from the conquering, pillaging, narrow-minded, ignorance.
The environment crisis actually reveals the mental crisis deep down in our heart, which is also the crisis of modern culture. The ideal moral respected by contemporary art and culture is being eaten up by the modern industry and the artistic and culture spirit has been distorted. Thus, we need to change now! Every cultural intellectual and artist should be more concerned about and involved in our society, the destiny of human being, reflecting and questioning the existence and ultimate goal of human being.
With varied art mediums, we will break all the old and narrowly defined standards we used to measure the world，getting to know it without colour glasses, giving a new definition for “freedom” , remaking the original picture of life and arousing the natural imagination. As all the creation is taking place, a new harmonious cultural system among human, nature and society will shape bit by bit.
It's actually very inspiring.
