Hello everyone! I just started using inkscape on Linux recently after trying Xara Xtreme for a while. Anyways, I'm having a problem I can't figure out. The path intersection tool on inkscape has stopped working for some reason!! I was using it yesterday fine, but today when I try it, it just deletes everything I'm trying to intersect!! Maybe I'm doing it wrong... Here's what I'm doing: I'm using the bezier/straight line tool to create lettering. Then I'm trying to interesect the lettering to create a reflection/gloss thing. But it's just delete everything when I try intersecting! Union works fine but I want intersection to work!! Can someone please help me... Am I doing something wrong with shapes? I tried converting objects to paths but it didn't solve the problem. Thanks!

The only thing I can think of is to make sure your only interecting two objects at a time. If you select three object and do an interesect, only the area where all 3 object overlap will be left--if they don't all overlap in a common place they will disappear.

Oh..... ok that's the problem, because it was working when I was only doing two objects. I was trying to intersect several objects at once with one large object and it just would delete everything! Thanks for the reply! That answered my questioned... Maybe they could add multiple intersections in the next release or something

Intersection does work on multiple objects and works as it should--the current behaviour is not a fault or limitation.
