Oh what a headache past few days have been after updating to Inkscape 0.91, before that I was working years with 0.4.. something version, but suddenly it didn't work anymore, so I uploaded the new version.

However, now when I prepare the file in inkscape and save as EPS and when I open the file on my vinyl-cutters' program called Summa Winplot, the text and pictures are missing lines. I tried to print one work, but indeed the lines are missing in the actual printed piece as well. I am quite sure this is related to some settings, but I can't find from here or google what is the problem. Below you can see prt scr from the cutters' program, with letter the line is missing at the bottom of straight line leeters, but with vector pictures randomly from multiple places.
I am making wall stickers and I am using quite a many programs, firstly I do the main work in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (as I have been familiar with that one for years), and Inkscape is only used for tracing a bitmap and to save as EPS for cutters program.

could this also be related to the font? (Try it out with a different one)
Sometimes fonts are broken, and have holes in their outline that aren't visible.

You can close the holes by selecting both end nodes with the node tool and connecting them with a straight segment.

Thank you for the answer, but unfortunately it's something else! It does the same for different fonts and pictures as well. Also the text/picture looks OK on inkscape, the problem is visible only at the cutter's program and there I can't edit it at all.

You might try looking at just the lines in Inkscape, using menu: View>Display mode>Outline. Maybe you can see some clues there.
