Resolution of raster images in EPS export

Postby oswaldasmith » Sun Mar 15, 2009 3:40 am

HI, I've done a flyer with some embedded jpegs. They are all high resolution images. When I export to EPS, however, the images show up as blocky and pixelated in GSView. If I use GSView to convert to pdf, the result is the same. What am I doing wrong?

The file is being transferred through email. WHen I use Inkscape PDF export, it comes up at 55MB. So I want to use my usual workflow, which is to export to EPS, then use GSview to create the PDF. Usually comes out WAY smaller.

Regards,
Oswald.

PS. Why do these things always happen when a client is breathing down your neck??? :?:

EDIT: Forgot to add that I'm using the 0.47snapshot from March 10, on XP SP2

What do the images look like when you open the EPS in Inkscape again?
