Fill bounded area tool leaves unwanted white margin

Postby seans_potato_biz » Fri Nov 18, 2016 10:57 pm

I downloaded this image from Wikipedia Commons and tried to fill in the leg with grey using the Fill Bounded Areas tool.Unfortunately it leaves a white margin around the edge. Why might that be? Thanks.

Greetings

The Paint bucket tool has some differences compared with the bucket tool of other raster image editors.
Please check here how it works:
If you have problems:

Thanks for your help, Hulf! I will probably use the first approach that you linked me to.

I'm going to use the image in a YouTube video about a lamp I'm making to explain something about LEDs.
