Hello,
I am making graphics thanks to python and I export it in pdf. The pdf size is of about 20 ko, but when I then import it in inkscape and save the svg file, its size becomes 9 Mo..! And when I modify it and want to export it in pdf again, it crashes. Furthermore if I have a pdf file that is of 100 ko, inkscape doesn't even import it and crashes.
To sum up, my problem is that after importing a pdf of 20 ko, it becomes a svg file of 9 Mo. I think that maybe inkscape doesn't import the pdf correctly, and uses a lot of pixels instead of vectors, but I don't know how to fix it. If any of you have an idea ? For information, I use a mac with Yosemite.
Thanks for help,
C.
Import PDF creates huge svg files

Hi.
Could you post a link to a problematic SVG file and/or the python code you use to generate the PDF files?
