I'm trying to set up autosave in 0.47, but it simply doesn't work.
I tried using every syntax to give the save path, eg x:/dir, /dir, x:\dir, but nuthing seems to work, the files are not created anywhere.
What could be the problem?
I'm using Win7

My Autosave Path is "F:\My Docs\My Pictures\Inkscape Autosaves". Win XP. I think I created the directory before pointing Inkscape at it.

Changes to Autosave properties seem to require an Inkscape restart, so I suggest you:
create x:\dir,
set inkscape autosave path to "x:\dir",
set a 1 minute autosave time,
restart Inkscape,
see if it works.

Could be a bug associated with Win 7, I suppose.
