Zoom with wheel on Mouse?

Postby regfman » Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:30 pm

On Corel Draw 12 I am used to zooming in and zooming out with the wheel on the mouse. In inkscape this moves the page up and down under the cursor. In Inkscape is there any way to change the up down movement to zoom?

Yes you can find it in Inkscape preferences under Scrolling (Mouse wheel zooms by default).

What prkos said... but I'll just add that the default behaviour is that it does zoom on the mouse wheel, but you have to hold CTRL at the same time. Changing the preference will swap the behaviour so that CTRL+wheel will scroll and wheel alone will zoom.

Thanks for explaining that to me. I am a CorelDraw 12 user. I can't successfully install that old version of Corel into Windows 7 64 so I started looking into what else is out there. Inkscape looks full featured. I look forward to learning it.
