Hello,
I have been using Inkscape for a long time but I only just noticed this issue. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.
The scale in my Zoom Correction Factor setting is exactly right when measured against a ruler, however I have to zoom to 131% to get the page the right size. Pressing '1' goes to 100%, which is too small.
I am using Inkscape .91
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Re: Zoom correction factor
Ja, it is a bit confusing... here's the deal:
The zoom correction factor tool in preferences, just provides the user a number, the one in the box.
The zoom control in the lower corner of the display always refers to the relationship of Inkscape workspace pixels to screen pixels... 100% is a 1:1 relationship.
To display the working page at real-world size, enter the derived zoom correction factor in the lower corner box.

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Re: Zoom correction factor
Thanks, that makes sense. Everything else I've read seems to imply that when you press '1' or go to 1:1 in the view menu it should go to the correct size though, whereas for me that also just goes to 100%. Kind of makes the 1:1 setting redundant. In other words, it would be nice to have a shortcut to the correct zoom, instead of having to type it manually.
