This much works: Create an object and select ONE node

Inkscape 0.47 Result: The node correctly moves perfectly along the direction of the path.
Inkscape 0.48 Result: The node correctly moves perfectly along the direction of the path.
This changed: Create an object and select TWO (or more) nodes

Inkscape 0.47 Result: The collection of nodes moves "as a group" along the direction of the path of the node being dragged
Inkscape 0.48 Result: Only the first node moves smoothly in the direction of the path. Other nodes move a tiny fraction of this distance, or not at all.
This behavior looks like it may be "by design", as there appears to be some sort of "distance scaling" calculation taking place. However, in my architecture-like usage of Inkscape, I need to move all of the selected nodes the *exact* same amount, and have the direction determined by an existing path.
